The Press Modernises

Aug Blog pressThe iconic South Island newspaper, The Press, is about to undergo some major changes.  It has announced a redesign to take advantage of improvements from a brand new, state of the art printing plant. The changes will start to roll out from Monday the 17th August.

What to expect?  Readers will see a layout that is more consistent across the entire week. The weekday edition will have two sections and a daily special feature while the Saturday edition will also be streamlined.

While colour availability greatly increases we will still need to check avails in advance.  Having said that, this significant upgrade should generate more opportunities, value and flexibility for advertisers.

In the PR blurb, Fairfax expresses its hope that the new facilities will make the Press the printing hub of the South Island with the ability for future growth and expansion.

The new facility certainly provides more options for readers and advertisers and is therefore an excellent move.
