Three Dimensional Movie Madness

It has been a dynamic year for cinema.  As of 30th June 2010, the Box Office was tracking up at over 18%, already earning over $93 million compared to $78 million from the same time last year.

After the first six months of 2010 the New Zealand Box Office is on track for another record year, thanks to the huge success of movies like Avatar, Boy, Alice in Wonderland and Iron Man 2.

With blockbusters like Shrek Forever After, Toy Story 3 and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse currently drawing in massive crowds and a strong line-up of movies ahead, the momentum shows no sign of slowing down.

The 3D Effect

Four of the top 10 movies in New Zealand have been in 3D. Adapting to this trend Val Morgan cinema advertising can now offer advertisers the opportunity to produce their adverts in 3D.

The Year Ahead

There is a great line-up of upcoming 3D movies for the rest of 2010: Step Up 3, Piranha 3D, Dispicable Me, Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Jackass 3, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, MegaMind, Tron Legacy, Gulliver’s Travels, and Yogi Bear.
